Heraklion

From Heraklion to Los Angeles

Kalamaki is one man’s idea of Greek hospitality, on four wheels.

Since 2013

I moved on 1 March 2013

I was born in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Back home I made frozen yogurt, until a company in Beverly Hills tried my product and asked me to set up their lines.

It was not easy. But if you want something and you have patience, you can have success. You just need time. Kalamaki is the result: gyros in pita the way we eat them in Crete, Greek salads with gyro on top, and falafel.

What makes us different is the good vibe you feel as soon as you approach the window.
